Wellies Fest Raises More Than ยฃ1,000 for Ayrshire Children's Charity
A popular Ayrshire music festival has raised more than ยฃ1,000 for a local children's charity.
Wellies Fest, held at Wellingtons Bar on 17 May, brought together 12 live music acts and a community of music lovers for a day of entertainment and fundraising.
Organised by Hugh Currie, the event raised an impressive ยฃ1,034.37 for Aberlour Children's Charity. The money will go towards the purchase of a trampoline for children and young people supported by the charity in Ayrshire.
Importantly, every penny raised will remain in Ayrshire, helping local children and families who benefit from Aberlour's services across the region.
A cheque presentation took place this week outside Wellingtons Bar, where bar manager Lewis joined charity representatives Sylvie and Lisa, alongside organiser Hugh Currie, to celebrate the success of the fundraiser.
Speaking after the presentation, organisers thanked everyone who attended, performed and supported the event, helping to turn a day of live music into a meaningful contribution for local children.
The success of the inaugural event has already led to plans for another Wellies Fest, which is set to take place on 30 August.
Aberlour Children's Charity supports vulnerable children, young people and families across Scotland, with funds raised in Ayrshire helping to make a difference to local lives.
