🕰️ A little bit of Firecrest history…
Did you know the first pint was served on this property all the way back in 1827? 🍺
Long before it became The Firecrest in 1998, the pub was originally known as The Half Way House, sitting in its beautiful gardens on the outskirts of Wendover.
And there’s even a little local legend attached to the place… historians say an infamous highwayman once used the pub as a stop-off! 👀
Nearly 200 years later, we’re still here welcoming guests for a drink, a meal and a catch-up. ❤️
Have you got any memories of The Firecrest — or The Half Way House — from over the years? We’d love to hear them in the comments!
