Following the popularity of the Signature À La Carte menu at The Dinton Hermit, we've introduced it at its sister pub, The Black Boy. Each venue has its own unique Signature menu, created by its chefs to showcase the very best seasonal ingredients, creativity and craftsmanship.

Available Thursday to Saturday from 12pm to 9pm at both venues, this exclusive menu sits alongside our main offering and features refined, seasonal dishes designed for those occasions when you want something a little more special. The Black Boy's new menu includes Confit Duck Leg Croquette with smoked celeriac remoulade, pickled pear and port reduction; Roasted Breast of Pheasant served with fondant potato, braised savoy cabbage and wild mushroom purée; and our indulgent Croissant & Bourbon Pudding with toasted walnuts, orange and brown butter toffee glaze.

Tonight sees our regular Little BIGG Jazz Night at The Dinton Hermit, one of the most unique evenings of live music you’ll find anywhere in Buckinghamshire. Hosted in our beautiful restaurant, these intimate performances bring together some of the country’s most talented jazz musicians, many of whom have played at Ronnie Scott’s and venues across the UK and beyond.

This month we’re delighted to welcome Simon Spillett on saxophone, Richard Busiakiewicz on piano, Tim Dawes on double bass and Steven Vintner on drums. With wonderful food, great drinks and outstanding music, it’s always a fantastic evening and we now have just a few tables remaining for tonight.

The last Wednesday of every month sees our Little BIGG Jazz Club take place at The Dinton Hermit.

Set in our beautiful restaurant, it’s an intimate evening featuring some of the most talented jazz musicians around - artists who have toured internationally, played at Ronnie Scott’s and built huge followings across the UK.

Moogies : Pubs have kindly made us their Nominated Charity moving forwards. To support Heart of Bucks, they have pledged a ‘dish donation’ by donating 50p for each Fish & Chips meal ordered from their restaurant menus.

They also generously fundraise for us through their monthly quiz nights at their two pubs, The Dinton Hermit in Ford and The Black Boy in Oving. This is all part of their Being Mindful pledge where they support a range of community and sustainability-driven goals, from reducing waste and recycling to supporting local charities such as ourselves.
