North Devon Jazz Club gigs at The Beaver start at 8.30 pm on selected Mondays (usually every two weeks). The UK's finest contemporary jazz musicians (and also musicians from abroad) appear regularly at this superb venue on the Torridge Estuary in the picturesque old fishing and shipbuilding village of Appledore. The Club has been running for over twenty years, having started in Barnstaple and the

n moved to The Palladium Club in Bideford before reaching its present home at The Beaver, Appledore. Amongst the top musicians and bands performing at the Club have been Gilad Atzmon, Peter King, Christine Tobin, Julian Segal, Phil Robson, Sarah Jane Morris, Laura Jurd, Bruce Adams, Sarah Gillespie, Julian Arguelles, Jim Mullen, Polar Bear and many, many more. Gigs (usually every two weeks) start at 8.30 p.m. and entry is free, but a collection is taken for the musicians. We are thrilled to welcome the wonderful Liane Carroll to Welcombe Village Hall on Friday 11th September, accompanied by her husband and guitarist Roger Carey.
A regular performer at the legendary Ronnie Scott’s and many other famous venues, Liane has won numerous prestigious awards and prizes for her singing. She is renowned for her extraordinary voice, musicality, warmth and infectious personality.
For this special evening, Liane will perform a selection of popular hits, mainly from the 1960s and 70s, but with her own unique style and interpretation. 🎵

What a great jazz gig last night with the Eddie Gripper Trio! The evening was based around the journey pianist Eddie made in 2022, hitchhiking across Canada and the USA. Making up the Trio was bass player Clem Saynor and drummer Patrick Barrett Donlon. We were treated to some wonderful playing from the whole band.
