Happy Saturday!

Today we think it’s a Cricket jumper day for the Penn Street Cricket Club team but with only two fixtures to go at home here at Penn Street they will be taking on the White Walkers today!

Come down and support the team, been a great season for them all and we are so proud to be affiliated with the guys and girls on the team, can’t beat the sound of cricket being played whilst having a pint and a bite to eat!

Riddle Thursday!

If here at The Squirrel, work out the riddle over a chilled glass of our new White wine, Canforrales Verdejo, a Spanish wine from the winery region of La Mancha.

Clean and crisp, with a lingering citrus and herbal finish, leaving a bright and invigorating aftertaste. Goes perfect with chicken and seafood, so that’s our Flat Iron Chicken or our delicious Cornish Sole, perfection!

As we come into Autumn nothing beats a good pie with mash, beef dripping gravy and some hearty veg, wholesome and warming.

We’ve got you covered, we have our Steak & Ale pie on the menu along with our Guest Pies, it changes quickly as the pies are popular - we have to name a few, Moo & Blue (British Beef Steak & Stilton), Fungi Chicken (Free range chicken with portobello and chestnut mushrooms), Kate & Sidney (British Beef Steak & Kidney).
