Look who’s in today’s News & Star / The Cumberland News— our very own Jade Collier📰👩🍳
With around 18 years’ experience as a chef, Jade brings so much to Walter’s. Having started her career here in Alston and trained at Newcastle College, she has a real love of cooking, and her travels give her plenty of inspiration to bring back to our little town.
From our everyday menu and homemade specials to planning and cooking our themed supper nights, she puts so much thought and hard work into what comes out of our kitchen. Our recent French night was a sell-out, and next she’ll be taking our taste buds to the Caribbean! 🌴🍽️
I’m really proud to see her getting this recognition, and I’m so grateful to have her alongside me. ❤️
Of course, Walter’s is a team effort, and I’m lucky to have a fantastic team working alongside Jade — in the kitchen, out front and behind the scenes. Everyone plays their part in making Walter’s the welcoming place we want it to be, and I couldn’t do it without them.
Thank you to our whole team, our lovely customers and everyone who continues to support us. What a lovely way to begin our second year! ☕🥂
As part of our Meet the Chef series, we're talking to some of Cumbria's finest about their lives in and out of the kitchen. This week, it's the turn of Jade Collier of Walter’s Café & Bar in Alston
