🌊 WE’RE HIRING – COME AND JOIN OUR TEAM! 🌊

We’re looking for some lovely new people to join us here at The Ocean View Hotel in Laide.

As we continue to grow, we have a few different positions available:

🧹 Weekend Cleaners
🍹 Weekend Bar Staff
🍕 Weekend Kitchen Assistants
👨‍🍳 Cook/Chef – Pizza Restaurant
🧹 Weekday Cleaner – a few hours per day

For the weekend roles, we’re looking for people who can predominantly work weekends.

For the cook/chef role, we can be flexible about which days you work, so we’re happy to consider different combinations of days and hours.

You don't need previous experience for the cleaning, bar or kitchen assistant roles. What matters most to us is that you’re reliable, enthusiastic and happy to get stuck in. 😊

For the cook/chef role, you’ll need some previous cooking experience and, importantly, be confident making pizzas 🍕. Pizza is a big part of our restaurant and we’re looking for someone who enjoys good food and takes pride in what they serve.

We’re hoping to get the weekend opening up and running as soon as possible, but we’re also concentrating on building our team and getting everything ready for next year’s season.

Our main season will run from around the end of March/beginning of April through to September/October, so there will be plenty of opportunities for regular seasonal work for the right people.

We’re a small, friendly team and we really want The Ocean View to be part of the local community. We’re passionate about good service, good food and giving everyone who walks through our doors a warm Highland welcome.

So, if you’re local, looking for some extra hours, returning to work, or simply fancy joining a friendly team, we’d love to hear from you. ❤️

🐦 Our littlest member, TinTin, is supervising this weekend’s clean!

You won’t meet TinTin too often because he’s not the most sociable member of the team — in fact, he’s quite likely to shout very loudly at new people! 😂

If you’re lucky, you might occasionally spot him in reception, enjoying a little bit of social time in his cage. It all depends on whether he’s had a good sleep and is in a good mood! 🦜😴

A big thank you to everyone who visited us this week. It’s been a busy one, and we’re now getting ourselves organised and ready for the next!

🌟 Loads of you tried our delicious haggis pizza this week — and don’t worry if you missed out, there will be plenty more next week!
