🍺 BAR STAFF WANTED – THE BLACK OX 🍺

Thinking of working behind a bar? Excellent. Just so we’re clear… there’s slightly more to it than pulling pints and looking fabulous. 😂

We’re looking for someone who:

🔞 Is 18+ – non-negotiable!

🤢 Can you cope with the occasional “someone’s had one too many” incident. You wont need forensic cleaning qualifications!

💪 Isn’t afraid of hard work. When it’s quiet, we don’t gather around the bar and wait patiently for something to happen. There’s ALWAYS something to clean, stock, wipe, polish or organise. Bonus points if you can actually spot it yourself! 👀

🤹 Can MULTITASK. This isn’t a “stand behind the bar and pull pints” position. One minute you’ll be serving drinks, the next you’re collecting glasses, taking food out, clearing tables, cleaning, restocking and wondering how you somehow ended up doing all six at once. 😂

🌙 Can work evenings, weekends and late nights – pubs have an annoying habit of being busiest when everyone else is out enjoying themselves.

🔑 Is comfortable with lone working at times.

😂 Can handle plenty of banter with our amazing locals – and ideally give as good as you get!

💪 And you’ll need to be able to hold your own. 99% of our customers are absolutely brilliant… but alcohol occasionally gives the other 1% the decision-making skills of a potato. 🥔😂 You’ll need to be confident, sensible and able to politely but firmly deal with anyone who decides to push their luck.

Casual hours available with weekly or monthly pay.

In return, it’s genuinely a great, fun place to work, no two shifts are the same and you’ll meet some absolute characters along the way. ❤️🍺
