On Friday we’re celebrating Ancestrale’s 9 years on Oehlenschlægersgade!

All the info you need:�📅 February 13th�🕠 Doors open 17:30�🎂 Layered cake (surprise flavour)�✨ Rare cellar wines by the glass
🥬 Menus and a la carte as usual�➕➕ Good vibes, as always

On a more personal note:�This birthday will be extra special to me as there are some big changes ahead. I’ll share more on this very soon, but for now I just want to say that it would truly mean a lot to see friends & regulars - and everyone in between - around the tables that night 🤍

Sarah, Matilda and myself will be on deck, ready to pour for thirsty birthday guests.

Falstaff has just rated us 97 points, placing Ancestrale among the very best in Copenhagen.

We’re a small team, a small room, and a lot of intention.
Everything we do is built on craft, clean produce, and the belief that good hospitality should feel warm, human, and quietly thoughtful.

Beaujolais Nouveau is ON.�

This Thursday we’re pouring the first wine of the year 80,- a glass, 375,- a bottle. Fresh, juicy, straight-from-the-press vibes.

And because you can’t toast without something decadent on the side…�We’re going full French !!�Tartiflette + small salad · 150,-

Think creamed potatoes… but louder.�Crème fraîche instead of cream.�A molten cap of Reblochon.�Rich, salty, ridiculous.�Trust us - it hits.

We’ve also flipped our menu format.�Daily changes. Big or small.�Whatever shines from Danish farms right now becomes the star.�It’s the most exciting direction we’ve taken in years.

A little bird is also chirping about bringing back our Solera Glögg.

One more thing:�We’re still certified organic — one of the few in DK.�Because sustainability isn’t a trend for us. It’s the work.
