JUNE AKTIONS ☀️ OPEN WINDOWS

Wednesdays open the room.
Bring a record, follow the theme, stay for the discoveries.

This month we move from Japanese fusion and city grooves to island ambient, fourth world sounds, and a Habibi Funk tribute night.

Saturdays stretch into summer.

Our Japanese grillmaster .berlin returns, João Comazzi provides the evening sounds, Café 1001 arrives from London, and .berlin heats up the terrace while Luccas brings the summer sounds inside.

We’ll be recording a couple of these sessions for our YouTube channel as well.

Sundays bring us back to the album.

Four albums. Four weeks. No phones… just us and the record.

Wednesday Community Deep Drives: NYC Downtown & Art Funk was a special one.

A bunch of guests brought records that perfectly matched the night’s downtown energy… leftfield disco, post-punk, dub, art funk, experimental. And the flow between selections felt incredibly natural all evening.

Some records played throughout the night included Arthur Russell, Grace Jones, Curt Cress, Ernest Ranglin, Grauzone, Logg, and more.

Thanks to everyone who brought records, hung out, and helped shape the evening.

Our monthly Bring-Your-Own-Vinyl night brings together music lovers from all corners. First Wednesdays have no genre restrictions — bring whatever you want.

From Taiwanese psychedelic to Norwegian metal, Venezuelan cumbia to Japanese new wave… you brought the heat.

BYOV continues to be one of the most vibey nights of the month. Thanks for making it what it is.

Every other Wednesday, we deep dive into a particular genre, theme, era, or sound world… and you’re always welcome to bring a record if it fits the theme.

A night at Unkompress where records, conversations, and deep musical roots meet.

Din Daa Daa opens her Unkompress residency with a set titled “Scottish Roots, German Influences.”

The session traces a personal and musical journey between where she’s from and where she is now — connecting her upbringing in Scotland with her life in Berlin through electronic and experimental sound.

Growing up surrounded by a family record collection that included artists like Can and other German pioneers, these sounds became part of her musical DNA long before she realised it.

The evening was also dedicated to Keith McIver (JD Twitch of ), whose influence runs deeply through the selection. Several records played that night were first discovered through his DJ sets and releases connected to his labels.

“A Scottish project featuring Nina Hagen on vocals felt like the perfect example of Scottish roots meeting German influence.”
