We are excited to welcome Chef Andrew McKay as our new Chef de Cuisine!..
Born in Markham and raised in Aurora, Ontario, Andrew’s passion for food started in an unlikely place: on the couch after school, watching episode after episode of Diners, Drive-Ins and Drive-Ins. That early curiosity eventually led him to a high school co-op at a local restaurant, followed by culinary studies at Niagara College.
From brew pubs in Niagara Falls to the kitchens of in Muskoka, Andrew built his experience across Ontario before making his way to Toronto, where he joined the O&B family, splitting his time between and ...
Since then, he’s contributed to kitchens across the city, including .to, at Second City, Liberty Commons, , and most recently . Along the way, he’s worked alongside mentors including Chef John Horne () and Chef Ryan Lister (), whose influence helped shape his approach to both cooking and leadership.
Andrew’s cooking is Canadian at its core, with Italian influences woven throughout, inspired in part by his wife, Chef Courtney Anne (.to), and the friendships he formed in Toronto’s culinary community. His approach is personal, grounded, and always focused on letting the dish speak for itself...
Now returning to as Chef de Cuisine, Andrew is bringing his own voice to the menu while staying true to the honest, flavourful cooking the restaurant is known for. The role also holds a special meaning for him: Jump is where he and Courtney celebrated their wedding.
One dish he’s especially excited to share is the Pappardelle Bolognese, made with beef and boar ragù. And if you haven’t tried it before, he’ll happily be the one to convince you...
Join us in welcoming Chef Andrew and come see what he’s bringing to the menu.
