THE TUBS play their first headliner in Toronto, October 18th!

We've been TUBS superfans since "Dead Meat," a near perfect first LP blending the sounds of post-punk, jangle rock and british folk music. The have only garnered more attention since, what with a near perfect follow up in "Cotton Crown." A band with great ambition, but at the same time, never turning on the legions of followers behind Gob Nation, their longstanding South London DIY Collective. Now, signing to the legendary MERGE Records, the band aims higher with, "Hard Life," their 3rd LP. To announce the signing, the band imbued Metallica's previously untouchable 'Fade to Black' with their trademark swagger and wit. An insane choice that manages to display all that THE TUBS are capable of. We're excited to hear what's next and you should be too.

THE TUBS are getting MOPAR STARS back to Toronto on support as well. Members of some of your favorite Philly bands rip a page out of the Teenage Fanclub songbook, and plant themselves firmly Left of the Dial. True alternative rock. No hack poser s**t! If you're not familiar with their K Records debut "Official Researchers Of The NJ Devil" yet, bet you will be soon.

And lucky us, local rockers, Cooked Raw Recording artists and all around charmers THE CRIME FAMILY salt the pot just a little bit more.

TONIGHT with NOT DEAD YET! Doors @ 6:30PM

7:20 - Public Health
8:10 - You Can Can
9 - Fu**ed Up

Just Announced! FU**ED UP celebrate 20 years of the Zodiac, on October 14 via NOT DEAD YET.

When they started this back in 2006 with "Year of the Dog," many thought it was another one of FU**ED UP's tricks. Yet, here we are - 20 years on, with the 12th and final installment, "Year of the Rooster" on the horizon. 13 slabs of vinyl - so far - of baroque hardcore punk psychedelia. The cycle almost complete. Celebrating 20 years of the journey to becoming, perhaps, Canada's most prolific band.

For this special evening, FU**ED UP will be playing selections from the entire Zodiac series, including yet to be released music from "Year of the Rooster." They'll be joined for the event by the equally psychedelic experimentation, though on the opposite spectrum of intense, YOU CAN CAN, as well as Hamilton post-rockers PUBLIC HEALTH. An event!
