If LOVE was a painting this would be it! 🌸💗☕️🐶

Last night Crush Coffee Co. was gifted this amazing one of a kind masterpiece by our dear friend, artist extraordinaire and Crush supporter, Dee Kruger. We love it - every detail is perfect including Pink’s oversized ears- all the more ear to kiss! 💋🌸🐾

Fun fact:
Our first blend of coffee was purchased from the DR Congo and it was named “PINK” after my baby girl chihuahua, Pink. Of course, it was the perfect name and blend as our signature bag colour is pink as well. It seemed appropriate for a launch blend! 🌸💗☕️ (ps we are planning to bring this blend back in 2027!)

We have had an enormous amount of support from friends and family behind the scenes as we move forward with our dreams. Dee has been one of the pivotal people who has shown up for us in big ways. She has a wealth of experience and wisdom to share regarding product based business, something that is new to me.

We love our Crush community so much!

Why build a coffee brand for women?

Because, women deserve it and I’m a woman.

I find this question is usually asked with a shot of condescending curiosity. Ironically, women never ask. They just get excited whenever they see it.

What I’ve decided….

I don’t need to explain or justify.
I don’t need to bend and produce blue bags for the men in the room.
I don’t need to apologize for some false sense of reverse sexism.

I don’t need to do anything except stay tapped into my ladies.

We can have cars marketed toward men and women, skin care marketed for men and women, even toothbrushes marketed for men and women…why is coffee any different?

The coffee industry is 85% male dominated.

What we need are more men supporting brands like Crush…not more conversations about why we are a woman focused brand.

I think the guys are good. 😉

But women? We have a long way to go with those kinds of numbers.

Putting more wealth in the hands of women is our focus… so, that’s why.

Thank you to the men in our midst who have whole heartedly supported Crush, who have had great conversations with us, who have continued to build with us, and who invest in us BECAUSE we are woman owned and woman focused.

You are our people 💗☕️

This is what was on the big screens on each side of the stage when I walked into the coliseum last night….😭☕️🙌🏼🎉

I’m not gonna lie——I got a little teary-eyed.

I’m so proud of this company and all it stands for as we empower and employ women from seed to sale.

Today I just came and sat on the floor of the cafe, imagining how you will all feel when you finally get to experience it.

This time of day the sun is just perfect - the pink is the colour of joy and the sun bounces off the crystals on the Phantom of the Opera sized chandelier that hangs in the front of the space.

It’s been a long journey.
I’m ready.

I want to be here chatting and connecting, roasting and packaging.

One day I will write a book about Crush and the journey bts because this company is a miracle in a pink bag and high heels.

It’s just so yummy in every way - like the coffee we so proudly serve and sell.

I don’t wanna rush it, and it is definitely worth the wait.

I know good things launch and then have to find their most efficient and reliable speed.

I feel so much about this brand - and I know the people who come in contact with it so too.

It’s luscious.
It’s legacy.
It’s a lady.

And I love it!

So, while we wait for our sultry space to open, we will see you at events and in the stores.

Crush Coffee is the official coffee sponsor of the Thunder Bay Chamber of Commerce Awards on Thursday - we have a whole springy set up planned. 💐

It feels like a lot when I think about it - of course, I want it to be perfect.

But anything will be bigger and better than where we started.

I think about how far we’ve come - how I used to label the old bags, use a fold up table in the corner at a local market and sell my coffee all alone, one bag at a time.

Now, the bags have a whole new high level look, we are in some of the best stores in town, we have a team and the amazing support of family and friends, and we are building a strong, solid presence in our community - one we are proud of.

I’m really excited to see people and introduce them to Crush - to see it thrive and come alive in the big kind of space it is made for.

It’s a fun brand - not another “on the shelf kinda coffee brand” and I cannot wait to bring it to such a great event celebrating great people.

It’s been a big year of big adjustments and big growth - and we are ready for a new level!

I cannot wait to see you there!
