I’ve been thinking about this for a while…

Over the past couple of years, I’ve found myself in countless conversations with women about menopause. Some of those conversations happened because of my own experience, and many have of course happened in the bar. Karma has always been a safe space for gathering and real genuine conversation.

What struck me most was how often the same themes came up. The more we talked, the more I realized how many women, including myself, are carrying these struggles quietly and feeling like they’re the only ones.

The hot flashes.

The night sweats.

The anxiety.

The weight gain.

The exhaustion.

The brain fog.

The aching joints.

The sleepless nights spent staring at the ceiling.

The doctors’ appointments that leave you feeling unheard and resolve nothing.

And the overwhelming sense that somewhere along the way, you’ve lost the version of yourself you used to know.

After my hysterectomy and being thrown into surgical menopause overnight, I quickly realized how little we’re actually prepared for this. I also realized how many women just like me, are silently struggling through it.

And when I say struggling, I mean really struggling.

So I’d like to invite you to join me in something a little different.

No doctors…No presentations…No sales pitches… And definitely No judgment.

Just women coming together to share experiences, ask questions, vent frustrations, laugh, cry if needed, and most importantly, remind each other that we’re not alone.

I’ll be sharing my own story with you, and helping guide the evenings activities and conversation, but this night is really about all of us!

Let’s get together and talk about the things nobody warned us about. Come hang out with me, have a glass of wine, enjoy some charcuterie and some great activities and guided discussions.

Because menopause may be common, but it doesn’t have to be lonely.

Our Karma-inspired Flash Tattoo Event is happening next Saturday, June 13th, starting at 4:00 PM and going until Heather gets tired!

✨ No reservations
✨ First come, first served

Just come in, choose your tat and put your name on the sign-up sheet, and hang out with us while you wait. Grab a bevvy (or two!) and enjoy the patio or cozy up inside with friends.

Feeling a little peckish? We’ll also have individual charcuterie boards available for purchase so you can enjoy a little nosh while you wait for your turn.

Flash tattoos are:
• 3–4 inches only
• Pre-printed stencils (designs and sizes cannot be changed)
• Minimal shading available on select designs

The Hoodoos are back in the house! This weekend at Karma come kick off your weekend on Friday with Paul
Longden and Acoustic Karaoke - Open 7-Midnight. Saturday afternoon we are excited to welcome back our favourite rockabilly foursome!

Come Shake with the Hoodoos from 3-6pm! The Singing Bartender will
be in the house all day Saturday from 3 until Midnight, in between sets and then solo into the evening. Come check us out for some of the best live music in town!

"I recently hosted a surprise birthday party at Karma Wine & Whisky Lounge for my husband, and I truly cannot say enough amazing things about Michelle!!

From the very beginning, she took every ounce of stress off my shoulders. Planning a surprise event can be overwhelming, but she made the entire process feel effortless. She went above and beyond in every possible way…..from organizing the food, decorations, and entertainment, to helping behind the scenes and even running around to make sure every little detail was perfect.

The charcuterie table was absolutely INSANE, the space looked beautiful, and the entire evening flowed seamlessly. I genuinely did not have to worry about a single thing, which allowed me to fully enjoy such a special night.

One of the absolute highlights of the night was the singing bartender, such a fun and unique touch that brought so much energy to the room and made the night even more memorable. And the “Kevin Costner in the bathroom” moment (yes, really 😂) where guests could snap a selfie added an extra level of laughs and fun that everyone loved.

Most importantly, the guest of honour was completely blown away. It was an emotional, unforgettable evening, and I truly could not have pulled it off without Michelle.
