Welcome to FightCore! I've been studying, practicing and teaching Stage Combat for almost 20 years now. I enjoy it immensely, and I've found that bringing fun and safety to staged violence can be very rewarding. I've always had more demand than I could respond to, and my usual 8-week/20 hour Level 1 or Level 2 programs, while great, were proving to be too limiting in terms of accessibility for man
y people. So I've started a brand-new, open-ended, weekly program that will be tailored to the needs of my students, both recurring and new. HERE'S HOW IT WORKS:
-Starting September 11th, there will be a class every Monday from 7:30 to 9:30 pm. The curriculum will be determined on a weekly basis by the needs and desires of the students. Once a student has registered and paid (must be minimum 1 week in advance), they can select whichever of the skillsets that I offer (see below) to learn that week. Open choreography/practice sessions will also be available.
-Anyone registering later than a week in advance can still participate, but will not necessarily be able to dictate the curriculum that week (depends on current registration by that point).
-Additionally, if the minimum amount of registrants for any given week is met, the doors will then open up to 'drop-in' students, who can simply show up on the day and pay cash (but will also not be able to make a curriculum request that week).
-The skillset being taught every week will be posted on this this page. REGISTRATION AND PRICING (2-hour session):
-For those who register and pay up to 1 week in advance, the cost will be $25.
-For those who register and pay less than 1 week in advance, the cost will be $25 (but may not be able to pick curriculum).
-For those who show up on the day, the cost will be $30 at the door.
-I'll need a minimum of 5 students per week to hold a class at those rates. I'll announce the state of the class every week (next curriculum, number of available slots left, cancellations, etc) on this page. If fewer than 5 students are registered but are willing to make up the difference, the class will still be taught. Maximum number of students per class is TBD, and will depend on what's being taught, weapon usage, etc.
-Available slots will be booked on a first come, first served basis. It is possible that I will ask some registrants to hold off a week or two in order to line up some of the curriculum, depending on registration and demand.
-Finally, as this is the first time I try a format as 'open' as this and have no idea what to expect, response-wise, I may change the day/time or add another day. Any changes will be announced well in advance on this page. If for whatever reason a class that has been paid for is cancelled, a full refund will be issued. I also plan to offer package deals down the line for those who want a longer-term investment in the class, once I've gauged interest and demand. To register, you can e-mail me ([email protected]), text me (514) 793-3786 or message me through Facebook or the FightCore page. Remember, you must register (and pay) at least one week before the class you'd like to attend to ensure a spot. Anyone planning to 'drop-in' should also advise me first, as space may be limited (I'll keep the page as current as I can, week to week). Payment can be made by e-transfer or PayPal to the e-mail above. CURRICULUM:
