Before Queen's had an official Homecoming, its graduates threw their own, right here. 🍂

In May 1921, forty alumni from the classes of 1891 to 1894 gathered for dinner at the Frontenac Club. Red tulips and yellow daffodils decked the tables, toasts went round class by class, and Dr. Alfred Lavell led the old college songs "with a vigour which recalled old days" (Daily British Whig, May 12, 1921).

Lavell, by the way, wrote Queen's College Colours, the anthem every Gael knows from the Oil Thigh.

Over a century later, Homecoming still feels like coming home at the corner of King and William. Welcome back, Queen's alumni.
