Calgary House Concerts Since 2011 we have provided safe spaces for independent songsmiths to perform and meet new Family Friendly audiences in their neighbourhood districts.

🎶 LIVE MUSIC — REAL CONNECTION
Outdoors & In the Community! 🌿

We’re hosting outdoor concerts whenever the weather allows—no longer in the yard, but in welcoming green spaces and local community centres so there’s more room for people to gather, connect, and enjoy. We partner with community centres where our intimate concerts raise the profile of live performance arts right in the neighbourhood. We look for every reason possible to bring people together. Music easily spans generations and inspires the Youthful Bridges initiative. These events are all about connection, creativity, and community—one song at a time. WHAT TO EXPECT:
✅ Soul-filling performances by talented professional musicians
✅ Youth musicians may open the show (through our Youthful Bridges program)
✅ Food Bank donations welcome
✅ Family-friendly, all-ages environment
✅ Powered by an awesome Youth Central volunteer team

BRING:
A friend, a lawnchair, a beverage, and your smile...
and join us to support independent musicians and enjoy an afternoon of live singer/songwriter performances—
and the most fun you’ll ever have in a lawnchair!

💬 LET’S BUILD COMMUNITY —
One song, one story, one shared afternoon at a time. Wildfire SMOKE may affect location or start time!!

The 9th Avenue Allstars are an Alberta bluegrass group bringing together four seasoned musicians — Al LaMonaca, Fred Mallette, Bruce Rohn and Dale Ulan — with a shared love of traditional bluegrass and acoustic music. Built around strong musicianship, tight vocal harmonies and the unmistakable sound of banjo, upright bass, guitar and mandolin, the Allstars deliver bluegrass the way it was meant to be heard: live, energetic and up close.

Each member brings years of performing experience to the group, creating a relaxed chemistry on stage while keeping the music driving and authentic. Traditional bluegrass favourites, their own material with great picking. Come join us for an amazing afternoon.

The band has also been working on a new release arriving around their November show, giving Calgary House Concerts audiences an opportunity to hear some of the new songs live alongside their bluegrass favourites. For Calgary House Concerts regulars, Al LaMonaca returns after performing with Crooked Path in 2025, this time the sound of The 9th Avenue Allstars with him.
