The club is made up of students from all faculties, brought together by over-active imaginations and an appreciation for spontaneity. Every week the Improv Club provides improvisation training through workshops, and allows students to apply what they have learned towards real-life show performances. Workshops: Tuesdays, Fridays 2-4pm CHE004

Tis’ the season! Join us DECEMBER 6TH, 7 PM, at CHC 119 for our 2025 HOLIDAY CHARITY SPECIAL!! Featuring two hours of improv from UofC, Notorious UIG , the Kinkonauts Conservatory , and Handsome Bevel Improv ! ❄️

Half of the show’s proceeds will be donated to the Alberta Food Bank — please bring non-perishable food items as well! Tickets are pay by donation and doors open at 6:30!

Want to know more about improv? Join us FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 26TH, at CHE 107 for our first show of the school season!! UofC Improv’s BACK 2 SCHOOL show will have some new and returning performers, and is a great spot to see what this “improv” thingamajig is all about!! BTOBS!!

Our last exec of the 2025/26 season!! Please welcome our VP Events, André!!

André has been an active performer at UofC Improv for three years, and is currently studying for a computer science degree. Despite his LACK OF SOCIAL MEDIA, André has been instrumental in coordinating social events with the club — bringing the community together outside of shows. His favourite thing about improv is “taking something nonsensical and somehow pulling a narrative out of it.”

André has never seen The Godfather.

A new exec has appeared!! Say hello to our VP Fundraising, Sara-Lyn! ._.lyn1

Sara-Lyn has been performing improv for nearly four years, and is currently one of the youngest performers at Calgary’s Loose Moose Theatre. She’s in her second year of STEM at UofC, so don’t mess with her! Sara-Lyn’s favourite part of improv is “making stupid puns” during scenes.

Erm, what the Nart?? Please welcome our returning VP Internal, Nathan!!

Nathan has been doing improv for eight years, with four years of UofC Improv under his belt and one with the Kinkonauts Improv Lab. Nathan is a bachelor of music student in voice performance and WILL sing on command. Nathan’s favourite thing about improv are the smiles :)

“Who’s that chiselled young character behind these awesome posts?” you may ask. Please welcome this year’s VP Marketing, Dylan!!

Dylan has been improvising for nearly three years and is a performing member of both UofC Improv and Handsome Bevel in Regina. He is a professional writer and an amateur comedian. Dylan’s favourite thing about improv is “making my scene partners look good while also doing the stupidest thing imaginable.”

Dylan once fell out of a moving truck.

Say hello to this year’s VP Finance, Henry!!

Henry has been in the university improv circuit for nearly four years, and has been an exec of the club for three. His favourite thing about improv is working and connecting with new performers on stage (the business student loves to network).
