Our Community At Work | Sunnyfield Disability Services

🎶 Connection can sound like this.

At Sunnyfield’s Orchard Hills Community Hub, participants have opportunities to build skills, work towards individual goals, develop social connections and take part in meaningful activities within their community.

One of those opportunities is Rhythmic Ability, an inclusive music and movement initiative where participants can express themselves, connect with others and have fun together.

The Hub’s Caddens Café also gives participants the chance to build practical skills, interact with customers and experience the sense of achievement that comes from playing an active role in their community.

And because the café is open to everyone on Wednesdays and Thursdays, the wider community can be part of that connection too.

Everyone deserves opportunities to participate, connect with others and feel like they belong. 💙

Woodchix Foundation's Empowering Women DIY Workshops give women the opportunity to learn practical skills in a supportive, hands-on environment - no previous DIY experience needed.

With workshops running this Saturday 24 October and Saturday 31 October, there’s still time to explore the opportunity, learn something new and build confidence doing things yourself.

Through ClubGRANTS, we’re proud to support community initiatives that help people develop new skills, build independence and access opportunities.

The Fathering Project, a not-for-profit organisation provides research-based programs and resources to help dads and father figures build stronger connections with their children.

Through its work with families, schools, workplaces and communities, The Fathering Project helps equip and support fathers and father figures to play an active, positive role in children’s lives.

Because strong family relationships and meaningful connections can help foster a sense of belonging, support and wellbeing.

It's the importance of those everyday connections, the moments that might seem small, but can mean so much.
