We’re incredibly proud to share that Engadine RSL Sub-Branch volunteer, Brad Copelin, was recently recognised at the NSW Premier’s Volunteer Reception as part of National Volunteer Week.

Brad was honoured for his outstanding contribution and exceptional service to the veteran community. A very well-deserved recognition for the time, care and dedication he continues to give to others.

Congratulations Brad, and thank you for the difference you make in our community every day

A time to reflect on our shared histories, cultures and achievements, while continuing to learn, listen and take action towards a more united future.

This year’s National Reconciliation Week theme, All In, is a reminder that reconciliation is everyone’s responsibility — and that meaningful change happens when we all step forward together.

We’re proud to show our support by adapting and displaying the official 2026 artwork by renowned Gumbaynggirr/Bundjalung artist Otis Hope Carey across Societie Group, respectfully incorporating our branding while honouring the meaning and spirit of the original piece.

Standing together through Clubs Say No to Domestic Violence 💜
 
Last year, our team proudly stood alongside the Sutherland Shire community as part of the annual ‘Walk for Respectful Relationships,’ joining hundreds of students, educators, community leaders and local organisations in taking a united stand against domestic and family violence.
 
These walks are more than just a community event. They help raise awareness, start important conversations, and show support for those impacted by domestic and family violence.
 
We remain committed to continuing this support and standing for respect, safety and meaningful change within our communities. 🧡

Last month, our team took on the Soldier On March On Challenge, climbing 10 peaks over 2,000m across 4 days in Kosciuszko National Park — all to help raise funds and awareness for veteran su***de prevention.

Across the journey, each step came with its own challenges, but also moments our team will never forget.

- Renee shared it was “a once in a lifetime experience… it’s not about how high you climb, but that you’re out there at all.”
- Grace spoke about the “amazing sense of accomplishment” standing at the top of each peak.
- For Kyle, the toughest day, 27km over 12 hours — became “a real achievement completed together.”
- And Tina said she was “beyond proud to give this a go… and overwhelmed by the support behind the cause.”

We are proud to share that our team raised an incredible $6,773!

This challenge meant more than reaching the peaks, it was about coming together, pushing through, and supporting a cause that truly matters.

In partnership with RSL Australia, these packages are part of a long-standing initiative that delivers a little piece of home to those deployed on operations. Each one includes essential items, thoughtful comforts and a letter of appreciation — a simple but powerful reminder that their service is recognised and valued.

This program has been supporting our troops for decades, and it’s only made possible through the dedication of volunteers and the generosity of the community.

We’re honoured to play a small role in something so meaningful and to support those who give so much. ❤️

Yesterday, our team travelled down to Wollongong to volunteer with Escabags Australia, helping pack 184 ‘Escape Bags’ for individuals and families escaping domestic and family abuse 💛

Each bag is filled with essential items, but more than that, it represents comfort, dignity and hope during one of the most difficult times in someone’s life.

What makes this so special is being involved from the moment they’re packed to the moment they’re needed. From packing these bags in the warehouse, to having Escabags available right here at our club reception for anyone in need — always there, ready and accessible, no questions asked. It’s a quiet but powerful reminder that support is always within reach.

We’re incredibly proud of our team for being part of something so meaningful, and grateful to play even a small role in helping those taking their first steps toward safety.
