The Gaelic Club Irish culture in the heart of Sydney. Find us through the green doors and up the stairs at 1/64 Devonshire Street, Surry Hills.

The Gaelic Club is a place for live entertainment, teaching of traditional music, dance and the Irish language. It has a licensed bar, dance floor, kitchen and meeting room, which members and guests can use and book for functions.

Ferdie is a traditional Irish piano and concertina player from Loughrea, Co. Galway, steeped in the Irish music tradition from a young age. Heโ€™s taught at workshops and played at fleadhs and sessions all over Ireland. ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช

Seรกn from Ennis, Co. Clare, is a whistle player and singer known for his deep love of Irish music and his powerful live performances. Heโ€™s played in sessions across Ireland and is a regular on Sydneyโ€™s Irish music scene. ๐ŸŽต

We are so excited that Mags is joining us again to co-lead for the session. Mags hails from Tipperary. She is a talented flute and piano player who loves to welcome you in for few tunes and craic at the session.

Paired with the beautiful Laura, who is honestly one of the best fiddle players in Sydney. And letโ€™s face it thereโ€™s a few good ones around!
Laura is from Abbeyfeale, Co. Limerick, and grew up playing music with her family at home and in her local Comhaltas in the Sliabh Luachra tradition.

Tara Canny comes from Rathmore, Co Meath. She has been playing whistle and flute since she was 5. She grew up playing with her local Comhaltas Branch CCร‰ Tlachtga, where she also enjoyed teaching music before moving to Sydney. She is loving playing in the lively Sydney music scene.

Ciara Smyth comes from Enfield, Co Meath and grew up playing music with her Dad. She was an active member of the Teresa Brayton Comhaltas Branch and has enjoyed progressing her fiddle playing in Sydney with the vibrant music scene here.
