Sorrento Surf Life Saving Club WA Sorrento Surf Life Saving Club has been a cornerstone of the Sorrento beachfront for ~70 years.

We’re a volunteer-run organisation - lifesavers, nippers, athletes, coaches and families - united by a shared commitment to a safe, vibrant beach community. The primary role of the Sorrento Surf Life Saving Club (SOSLSC) is to patrol the beaches and maintain a safe environment for the public.

Yesterday, Sorrento Surf Life Saving Club members teamed up with the Shaw and Partners Financial Services Perth office for the Gotcha4Life 9 Hour Corporate Row.

Together, they took turns on the rowing machine to raise funds and awareness for Gotcha4Life and its important work building mental fitness and helping to prevent su***de across Australia.

Shaw and Partners is aiming to raise $300,000 through this year’s event, and we were proud to see our members supporting the effort alongside one of our valued Club partners.

A tremendous challenge for an incredibly important cause.

A new addition to the Sorrento range, designed specifically for handlers at surf lifesaving competitions.

Our new reversible green bucket hats are approved for handler use by Surf Life Saving Australia and Surf Life Saving WA, giving our handlers a practical and clearly identifiable option on the beach during competition.

The Sorrento Uniform Shop is open today from 4.30pm to 6.30pm.

Along with selected run-out and old stock, we’ve also just received a new delivery of Engine backpacks in some great new colours.

They’re available in green, pink and black, with limited stock available, so we expect them to move quickly.

Can’t make it into the Club tonight? The new backpacks (and all our other stock) can also be purchased online via the Sorrento SLSC website.

What a brilliant morning of powercraft training at Sorrento!

Male and female members from across Sorrento, Mullaloo Surf Life Saving Club and Quinns Mindarie Surf Life Saving Club came together with the Women in Powercraft group to train, share resources and learn from one another.

It was a valuable opportunity for trainers and candidates to exchange knowledge, build confidence and gain hands-on experience in a supportive environment.

Sharing resources. Sharing knowledge. Building capability.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to a great morning. This is Surf Life Saving at its best: clubs working together to build stronger and more capable powercraft teams.

BECOME A LIFESAVER THIS SEASON

Registrations are now open for Sorrento SLSC’s November Bronze Medallion course, commencing Saturday 21st November 2026.

Open to new and returning members, the course will develop the practical skills and knowledge needed to perform surf rescues, provide first aid and help keep our beach safe as part of a Sorrento patrol.

It is a great opportunity to learn valuable lifesaving skills, become more involved in the club and make a genuine contribution to our community.

HELP US SPREAD THE WORD ABOUT DOLPHINS

The Sorrento Dolphins All Abilities Surf Lifesaving Program is one of the most important and rewarding programs at our club.

Dolphins gives children, young people and adults of all abilities the opportunity to enjoy the beach, build confidence, develop surf lifesaving skills and, most importantly, have fun and form lasting friendships.

The program runs at Sorrento Beach on Saturdays from 10am to 12pm between November and March, with groups for Nippers, Youth and Masters.

We would love the support of our Sorrento community in helping us reach more families who may benefit from this wonderful program.

Please share this flyer with your family, friends, schools, community groups and networks. A simple share could help someone discover a welcoming and inclusive community at Sorrento.
