✨Spirit of the week!

This Glenkinchie 16 year old has a gorgeous red fruit and spice complexity with maintaining the Lowland distillery's bright malt character. It is a more assertive than the gentle house style many drinkers know from official bottlings. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Raspberry, ginger spice, to***co, herbal tea can all be noted on the nose. The palate however is fair richer with red fruits, cinnamon, clove and allspice.

Next week, Casa de Vinos is heading south for Tasmanian Whisky Week 2026.

Tasmania has always played a huge role in the Casa de Vinos story. From the incredible distilleries we're proud to partner with and stock on our shelves, to the many Tasmanian producers who join us at Whisky Abbey each year, and the fantastic bars, pubs and restaurants across the state that champion many of the international whiskies we import – it's a community we're always excited to be part of.

This year we're heading down to celebrate alongside some of the best in Australian whisky, and we'd love to see you at one (or both!) of our events.

We were incredibly fortunate to welcome Dr Rachel Barrie to the Casa de Vinos Lounge this week for the inaugural event in our Whisky Icons Series, celebrating 200 years of The GlenDronach Distillery.

With a full house and a room full of whisky lovers, it was a truly memorable evening of exceptional drams, fascinating stories and a fitting tribute to one of Scotland's great distilleries. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the night so special.
