So, its time to upgrade our cleaning station. This is the thinking but I'm interested in what other design conceps other growers have or would have. I might include this in the China itinerary and make it a stock item for our planned farm roll out. At the very least there also needs being a powerful high pressure high flow pump hooked up to the spray nozzles as well as the tray washer machine that will sit atop the sink. Thoughts on design and wish list items ?

🇨🇳 China bound! Time to build the future of microgreens.

Departing shortly to work with our Chinese partners to develop the next generation of our grow systems, think ; automated watering, new custom trays large and small, integrated drainage system, upgraded lighting using 20% less power, increased yields and 15 shelf levels.

I'll also be meeting factory engineers to develop purpose-built machinery to tackle the industry's biggest cost: LABOUR. Think mechanical packing, crop mixer+drier, harvester, tray washer-wetter and seeders. This image is just a small teaser.

We're not just rolling out farms using off-the-shelf components. We're engineering a complete production ecosystem from the ground up, designed to reduce labour and overall operating costs, maximise productivity per square metre to lay the foundations for US expansion. 🌱🚀

It's going to be incredible 😲

Build it smarter. Scale globally.

Live potted red vein sorrel not far from being ready and looking perfect. It's just such an incredible variety, it almost doesnt look real but it is ! How cool do they look ?

23/10/2026

Some primo Purple radish, just the right age, before they get too tall, leggy, cabbage like and lose that cool heat ! We averaged 500 grams a tray of around 50mm cut lengths using 50 grams of seed pertray for anyone wondering. How goes your radish crops ? 😀

How cute do these not ready yet pots of red vein sorrel look !! Baby Yoda level of cuteness we think ❤️ Incredible variety to grow, we love it. If you service cheffies you owe it to them to have this in your product range. Can you believe its illegal in some states of Australia? 😮

Red Vein Sorrel top view. I'm thinking we could probably decrease the seed rate ! This is the very 1st test tray, great germination. It's something we tend to do now, test trays before the current seed batch runs out and we switch to a new bag - only to discover the seed is low quality. One minute you're feeling comfortably stocked with seed, the next you're out and on the back foot. Has this happened to you ? 😳

It always blows my mind when I see this tray of Celery - hard to believe it grows this much in 7 days, right ? Day 14 to day 21. Such a reliable crop too and the seed is such a high grains per gram count you need next to nothing in grams - its actually one of the lowest seed costs 😳

Lovely lemon balm microgreens just about ready for harvest. They are really thriving now as the seasons switch from winter to summer - yeap, they dont like it cold much I can confirm. Do you struggle with lemon balm ? 😀

Live potted coriander - you either love it or it tastes like soap - true story ! Reliable as, low cost seed, and a cool leaning crop - so if you're struggling a bit it can be high germination temps ! How grows your coriander? 😀
