A little green number with quite a history… 💚
Tonight’s Local’s Night cocktail is the Grasshopper — a gloriously creamy combination of crème de menthe, crème de cacao and cream. Think cool mint, rich chocolate and that silky, almost-dessert-in-a-glass finish.
And she’s been around for a while. The Grasshopper was created in New Orleans in 1918 by Philip Guichet of the legendary Tujague’s restaurant, for a cocktail competition in New York. It came second, but clearly had the last laugh — more than a century later, we’re still drinking it.
A little retro, a little indulgent and ridiculously delicious.
On the bar tonight for Local’s Night at Citrine.

Tomorrow is our final Sunday Roast of winter at Citrine — tender roast lamb, golden potatoes, plenty of gravy and all the trimmings. Come hungry, settle in by the fire and help us give winter a proper send-off. Bookings recommended.

We've got dad's favourites on the menu this Father's Day. Two courses | 59 per person, with your choice of main and dessert, and warm focaccia bread for the table.

And because it is his day, Dad gets a little something extra from us too, his choice between a nip of Starward Single Malt Whisky, a pot of Hop Hen Lager or glass of house wine.

Dietaries such as vegan? No problem, we will happily cater for you; please let us know at time of booking. Little ones under 12 years can order from the regular kids à la carte menu, with favourites including chicken strips with fries, pasta with Napoli sauce and a cheeseburger with fries​​.​​​​ BOOKINGS ARE ESSENTIAL

Last Sunday we had a visit from The Roast Club. A super fun group of locals who get together on Sundays in pursuit of a very important cause: a great roast lunch!
There are badges. There is scoring. There are standards.
Apparently every roast is marked out of 10, and despite some very persistent questioning, we still don’t know what Citrine scored. We’re choosing to believe it was 11/10 😂 Thanks for bringing such great energy to Citrine, Roast Club. You were an absolute hoot to have in the restaurant. Same time next Sunday? 😉

We’re just a little bit excited….Aaron Cook has changed his plans to join us throughout July for Fireside Friday. Mumma Maggie joined us last week for a lingering dinner and cocktails and we loved every minute 🍸❤️

Our first Fireside Friday last week was everything we hoped it would be. The beautiful sounds of Aaron Cook setting the scene for a perfect winter evening. We do it all again tomorrow alingside our Friday Steak Special. Be sure to book your table for a cosy evening with us.
