🟦🟨Pennant Recap🟦🟨
With rain and storms predicted on Saturday we were happy for all teams to play without any interruptions.
The 1st side played away and won with two rinks having big wins to help secure victory.
The 2nd team was at home but the opposition were too good, a positive is that the side had two rinks winning.
The 3rd side played away and found the carpet hard to handle, keep showing up and the results will come.
The 4th side unfortunately had a walkover, this week there were too many bowlers missing.

New to lawn bowls, or just want to understand a bit more about how the game works?

We've put together a beginner-friendly guide covering the basics, from the aim of the game and how an end works to scoring, bias and some of the common terms you'll hear on the green.

Whether you're thinking about giving bowls a try or simply want to follow what's happening during a game, it's a good place to start.

A Great Start to the Season

The new season got underway with all four sides taking to the green for the opening round.

Conditions couldn’t have been better with perfect greens and weather for playing bowls. A big thankyou to all who helped get the 4ths on the green with many bowlers playing their first game of pennant.

There was plenty to celebrate, with the 1st and 3rd sides recording victories while the 2nds & 4ths couldn’t quite get over the line.

Thanks to the staff and volunteers who helped out with food and drinks we appreciate all the work you do and look forward to another enjoyable and successful year.

Go the Ponds!!
