LAST NIGHT ON EARTH'S LIVE MUSIC POST ABOUT LIVE MUSIC AT LAST NIGHT ON EARTH!

This week in Australia we commemorate the passing of Saint Mary MacKillop. Australia's first and only Saint. Only having the one is a testament to our naughty boy behaviour. Speaking of naughty boys here are the bands this week:

Friday (7/8): Lachypuss and the Lobstermen
They might not be Saints but in the Lobster community they are revered as such. It's a shame your so shellfish otherwise you might be eligible for Sainthood.

Saturday (8/8): James Canning DJ
This man and his music are nothing short of miracles. Unfortunately 100 years need to pass after death before you can become a Saint. I'll be ready for my cloud party Mr. DJ Saint James Canning.

This week in 1923, Australia had Minister Dick Ball turn the first sod to mark the start of construction on the Sydney Harbour bridge. Now I can't compete with a name like that but I still get excited seeing the bands this week:

Friday (31/7): EKO
Entoxicated Kangaroo Olympics return for their second debut performance. Don't ask questions, that's obviously what the acronym stands for. Don't believe me? Come in and ask them yourself.

Saturday (1/8): DJ Topdown
Mr. Derrick Johnson Topdown is back to prove he hasn't passed the torch on to Baby Topdown, yet. Obviously DJ does not stand for Derrick Johnson but do you really want to hear from a guy named Dude Juice?

This week marks the anniversary of the 1969 moon landing with Stretch Armstrong, Buzz Lightyear, and that third other guy. I wasn't alive to see it but I will be for our entertainment this week:

Friday (24/7): DJ Topson (TK Blu3)
Baby Topdown is rising quickly through the DJ world, which I assume is just Earth. But if he gets any higher he might make it to the moon. One small spin for him, one banging set for Last Night.

Saturday (25/7): DJ James Canning
Giving up his childhood dream of Astronautomy, James decided to take you to the moon with sick beats instead. If anyone could throw a party in space, he Canning do it.

LAST NIGHT ON EARTH'S LIVE MUSIC POST ABOUT LIVE MUSIC AT LAST NIGHT ON EARTH!

This week in Australian history the Battle of Fromelles started marking one of our military's darkest days. So dark it coincides with our mic stand getting nicked. It has a tape with "MINE" written on it. That means it's mine and I'd like it back please so the bands this week can play:

Friday (17/7): Lachypuss and the Lobstermen
I call these boys a lot of different things but not thieves. They would never steal our mic stand. Jacuzzis have no need for mics because they can't talk. But blast the bubbles into a mic and that's some weird ASMR that I probably can't sleep to.

Saturday (18/7): Weird Dance Music with Rule Perty & TK Blu3
It's DJ Top Daddy and Son coming together to be weird? So weird that they don't need a mic stand. That's really convenient for us right now but fingers crossed it gets returned. If not they are gonna be weird anyway. Promise.

Apparently in 1990 Queen Victoria signed some papers and now we celebrate Constitution Day on July 9? Where's my public holiday Mr Government? It seems like a pretty important day to me just like the days below:

Coming straight from our lack of public holiday. The air will jiggle and these boys will wiggle. Hopefully that's enough to make you giggle.

This week in 1928 the first ever trans-Pacific flight to Australia departed from California by Charles Kingsford Smith. Now that's a name you probably won't remember so let me give you a couple you should remember:

Friday (3/7): Mescalito Blues
Mezcal might be bad for your memory but being blue brings back everything you don't want. Honestly sounds like a good combo. If you're still confused about the band they play the blues.

Saturday (4/7): Jack Rabbit
I remember that his name is Jack, he is not a rabbit, and he goes wub wub and we go woo woo. If you don't remember you should come and see him. If you do remember then I'll see you there.
