FIELDS are an Eora-based collective led by guitarist/ producer YIANNI ADAMS & percussionist KALON CAPTAIN . Dedicated to fully improvised music, FIELDS explore themes of minimalism, repetition & responsive interplay, bridging the gap between ambient soundscapes & groove-driven Afro-jazz. The group formed in 2023 when Yianni & Kalon, alongside Harry Tomspett (Tenor Sax) & Kurt Lam (Keys), recorded a series of freeform improvisations, many of which became the foundation of their debut self-titled album released in April 2025 via independent Sydney label CG Discs. Through the joy of pure spontaneity FIELDS embrace an open, boundary-less approach to music, guided by the simple rule to listen & be present. For this special performance at Butchers Brew Bar Yianni & Kalon will be joined by MAX LEGGOTT (Sax), ZIGI BLAU (Keys) & YOUSSEF SAWIRES (Percussion).

PAUL BERWICK + JOHNNY BATCHELOR both have indie-music pedigrees forged in the renowned '80s Sydney music scene & both have great new tunes out now. With acoustic vibes & striped back performances, this intimate Sunday evening will be a chance to soak in the breadth of both their songwriting talents.
βοΈ 'I Wonβt Sing About It' is the latest tune from Australian indie-artist JOHNNY BATCHELOR, who has been releasing new music since mid-2024 with a sensational response. Johnny has a history in Australian music dating from the notorious '80s Sydney scene. His band Dropbears shone brightly & seemed to be everywhere, appearing on Countdown & touring with the major acts of the time including U2, The Cure, New Order, Simple Minds & INXS.
βοΈ Punk inspired songwriter playing (mostly!) acoustic guitar solo & singing. PAUL BERWICK has been playing in bands off & on since 1979 - a good hook & a good story put across with passion is the key! He has been the key songwriter & vocalist for Happy Happy Hate Me Nots, Paul Berwick's Magnetic Quartet, Driven, Settlement & Positive Hatred. His favourite artists are varied, but he respects the work of Bob Mould, Joe Strummer, Bob Dylan, Patti Smith, The Beatles & everyone else who comes after them!! Paul loves all sorts of music - punk, folk, pop, funk...if it works, he'll use it in his songs!
Paul's new 6 track EP 'The Promise of Youth' is out now via streaming platforms.

βοΈ TOBY MARTIN is a singer, songwriter & frontman of the beloved indie rock band Youth Group. Over the course of nine albums, Toby has established himself as one of Australiaβs most distinctive & adventurous songwriters, combining a plaintive melodic sensibility with finely observed & deeply felt lyrics. Recent records Songs From Northam Avenue & I Felt the Valley Lifting set detailed stories to a backdrop provided by musicians from different cultural backgrounds. His most recent records are 2024βs Song KhΓΊc Lượn Bay (Two Sounds Gliding) a collaboration with Vietnamese-Australian musician Dang Lan & the 2025 album from Youth Group Big Whoop (which was feature album on ABCβs Double J). He is also a co-songwriter & collaborator on the new Uncle Roger Knox record Buluunarbi & the Old North Star. Toby has won an ARIA & toured the world, including performing at Coachella, Reading & Leeds Festival, Laneway & Splendour in the Grass.
This special intimate June residency will see Toby bring it all back home to Dulwich Hill. He will play a different album from his back catalogue every week in stripped back solo mode (with a few choice cameos) plus some other deep cuts, new songs & select covers.
βοΈ WAYNE CONNOLLY is an Australian music producer, audio engineer & musician. From 1991 to 1997 Connolly played lead guitar and sang in guitar group The Welcome Mate & released two studio albums. Since 1994, he has played in Knievel with Tracy Ellis, Nick Kennedy & other luminaries. Wayne has produced music with Josh Pyke, The Paper Kites, Julia Jacklin, You Am I, Underground Lovers & Youth Group. He has won four ARIAs.

βοΈ BRIELLE is an independent musician with a psych-folk-rock flair. Their songs weave a rich tapestry out of all the little oddities that life offers up. Combining their love of storytelling & absurdist lyrics, Brielle creates a hazy atmosphere that puts audiences in a trance.
βοΈ HYLA DAY feels too much all the time, but she writes it down before it turns into a problem. Her melodic alt-pop pulls apart obsession, perfectionism, wanting to be wanted & the strange theatre of trying to belong. Somewhere between crying in the bath & dancing it off at the club, Hyla turns big feelings into music that feels sharp & very much alive.
