Wouldn’t be a Riders Party without 🎤💜

Wow. Absolute ripper of a weekend.

We are beyond gutted that this is the end.

We didn’t just lose the GP, it’s so much more than that.

We lost the busiest weekend of the year that a lot of businesses rely on coming out of the quiet winters. We have lost the familiar faces of those who book in 6 months ahead of the event, same time, same table, all weekend - every year. We have lost our past staff members that would come back every year to work, just for this event. We have lost our traditional Riders Party, that has seen so many Riders come through our doors to celebrate their wins.. and their losses.

We’re unsure what’s in store for the Island but nothing will ever compete with MOTO GP.

Thank you to each and every one of you who supported us this weekend, despite the weather and the race being cancelled. You still showed up and we will be forever grateful.

For more than 30 years, the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix has been part of the rhythm and identity of life on Phillip Island. Every spring, the bikes rolled into town, the streets filled with colour and the familiar roar echoed across the Island. An entire generation has grown up knowing that MotoGP weekend wasn't just another event. It was something special.
..This weekend is our chance to celebrate it. And while there was exciting news this week that Supercars will return to Phillip Island from 2027, right now the focus is firmly on MotoGP and giving this incredible event the farewell it deserves."

Cowes hospitality venue Hotel is seeking to double in size to cater for 720 patrons.

A planning permit, currently out for community feedback, proposes retaining the existing single storey building on the corner of Thompson Avenue and The Esplanade.

Two double storey buildings facing The Esplanade that are currently used as a retail and office space will be demolished - with removal of asbestos - and redeveloped, with a permit required to use this area as a hotel.
