Shedshaker beers are hand-crafted in sunny Castlemaine - a vibrant, creative community in the goldfields of Central Victoria. Come and try for yourself at our Taproom, where we have 12 beers on tap alongside a range of locally made wine and spirits. Try our delicious Italian-based menu featuring sumptuous pastas and our famous pizzas and stay for the live music we have on Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays. You are always welcome at the Taproom.

In the 1850s Castlemaine was home to over 20,000 diggers seeking to make their fortune on the Central Victorian goldfields, and some 20 breweries helping them wash away the bitter pill of disappointment. By the early 20th century, all the breweries were gone...and so was the gold. In 2014, we thought it was high time to bring beer back to Castlemaine. And we struck gold with the formation of the Castlemaine Brewing Company. Same people, same passion, same commitment to small batch, hand crafted beer. Castlemaine Brewing Company then become Shedshaker Brewing. At Shedshaker we reckon a good beer is one of life’s great pleasures. We want to bring that excitement and joy to everything we do, especially when it comes to making fresh beers with satisfying and distinctive flavours. Let’s drink to that.

Multi-award-winning indie artist Romanie joins us with her band, celebrating her acclaimed new album It’s Not That Funny, which hit #14 on the ARIA Albums Chart and earned an Australian Music Prize nomination.

Joining her is Clover Blue, and there’s a special twist! The two artists will spend the day writing a brand-new song together, then perform it live for the very first time this evening.

Beautiful indie sounds, a little musical magic and a warm, welcoming Taproom to escape the rain.

Come in, dry off, grab a b**r and settle in for a cracking Sunday session.

Settle in for a chilled Sunday session with Jhana Allan.

Her forthcoming single You Got The Eyes is a mandolin-driven slice of country-folk with warm vocals, a little swagger and a wry take on unwanted infatuation. When someone’s gaze is just too intense, there’s only one answer: sunglasses, day and night.

Jhana Allan is a talented multi-instrumentalist and songwriter inspired by the likes of Joni Mitchell and Laura Marling, Jhana brings a wealth of musical experience and a beautiful folk sensibility to her songs.

She’ll be playing two sets with the brilliant Tim Merrikin on bass.
