For more than 65 years, the Queensland Cricketers’ Club has brought people together through a shared love of sport — creating a place where generations of Members, families, friends and some of Queensland’s greatest sporting names have crossed paths.

As a not-for-profit organisation, our purpose extends well beyond our doors. We believe in supporting our community, celebrating Queensland’s rich sporting history and creating opportunities to give back to the sports and people who have given us so much.

From legends of the past to the stars of today, the Club has always been a place where stories are shared, friendships are formed and sporting history feels close enough to touch.

Former Brisbane Broncos and Queensland representative Corey Oates understands the power sport has to bring people together — and why places that preserve those connections matter.

We’re proud of our history, but even more excited about what comes next: continuing to build a Club that welcomes people from across sporting codes and generations, gives back to its community, and ensures Queensland’s great sporting stories and personalities remain connected with the people who love them.

Some places have a way of connecting generations.

For going on 67 years, the Queensland Cricketers’ Club has sat at the epicentre of some of Brisbane’s greatest sporting moments — but the moments that happen around the game are just as important.

Parents bringing their children. Friends who have shared the same seats for decades. Members who first walked through our doors with their own parents and now return with the next generation of their family.

It’s where sporting legends past and present mix with Members and guests, where stories are retold, new memories are made and a shared love of sport continues to bring people together.

For Ben Davis, whose career has given him a front-row seat to so many of Queensland’s great sporting moments, that sense of connection is something special.

Because while the games, players and seasons may change, the feeling of experiencing them together remains.

Some places become part of your story long before you realise it.

For Brisbane Lions Co-Captain Josh Dunkley, the Gabba is a place where history, connection and memories come together — through football, friendships, family and the moments shared along the way.

That sense of connection is something we understand deeply at the Queensland Cricketers’ Club.

For generations, and sharing the same sense of tradition and community synonymous with institutions such as the MCC in Melbourne, the Club has been a place where people have gathered with family and friends, celebrated the great moments in sport, built lifelong relationships and created memories that extend far beyond the final siren.

Our legacy is about ensuring the Club remains a place of belonging for generations to come — where a shared love of sport brings people together, friendships are formed, traditions are carried forward and community continues to thrive.

For Emily Seebohm, a career in sport has never been just about the medals.

As Simon Black reflects on what the Queensland Cricketers’ Club has meant to him, it’s a timely reminder that some places become part of who we are. For more than 67 years, the QCC has been where Queensland’s sporting community connects, celebrates and belongs.

Legacy isn’t something you look back on. It’s something you carry forward.

For more than 67 years, the Queensland Cricketers’ Club has been part of Queensland’s sporting story. We’ve welcomed generations of families, provided first jobs to young Queenslanders, supported grassroots sport, charities serving our community each year, extending our care and services well beyond the boundary.

As Brisbane plans for its future, we hope our story can continue at Victoria Park.
