Hi there to all our new followers 👋

There are quite a few of you here after our daughter posted a story out of the blue (thanks jade).

Wonderful to see you here! 🌾🤎

One little hiccup, you’re all pretty much between the ages of 15 and 18, so not necessarily the ones in the household looking to purchase organic flour perhaps? 🤔 .

So, if you could do us another favour pretty please and be sure to share this post with your parents/ grandparents/ older family members and friends about some new freshly milled flour about to be released in the Barossa, that would be amazing!

Ask them to jump on the email list via the link in our bio to get access to the first release, or you could sign up and gift it to them? 😉

Maybe they might make you some delicious baked goods out of it??!

It’s been a hectic few weeks/ months in the Kalleske Farm Family recently, hence the severe lack of socials 😬.

Today I (Amie) finally got back out in the veggie patch.
The first job was to harvest a bit of self-seeded dill. We are drying the young fronds to use later in the season in fermented dill cucumbers and pickles, and I have something else planned for the flowers.
You’ll have to wait to find out that one though.

The summer veg are still yet to make it into the garden, which is the latest ever for us… but we’ve had a bit going on 😅

You know what else is going on??
➡️ Soft launch of our homegrown and ground freshly milled certified organic and biodynamic flour to email subscribers only is pencilled in for sometime next weekend … pending no major disasters 🤞🏼🤞🏼.

Are you on said email list, or are you waiting an extra week or so for the public launch? 😉

If you want to jump on it, head to the link in our bio for our welcome page and fill in the pop up form. We’d love you to join us 🌾

📣LOCAL SHOUTOUT: Last month inside the Your Business Compass community, we asked:
Who is a small business people recommend without hesitation — not because they have the fanciest logo, but because they’re building a brand experience worth talking about?

Because around here, we believe:
Brand = reputation.

And this month’s community shout-out goes to Amie & Kym at Kalleske Farm.

💞 The nomination said:“Amie at Kalleske Farm is doing a great job in bringing her dream to life!! Watch this space!”

And honestly, that’s exactly what strong brand building often looks like.

Not always loud.

Not always polished to perfection.

Not always fully launched yet.

But clear, genuine and built with heart.

Amie & Kym’s brand story is grounded in family, farming, regional connection and bringing something meaningful to life — one step at a time.

It’s the kind of brand people want to follow because they can feel the care behind it.

And that’s the point.

A memorable brand isn’t just what people see.

It’s what they feel.

It’s what they trust.

It’s what they talk about when you’re not in the room.

Congratulations, Amie & Kym — we’re cheering you on and cannot wait to see what comes next. 🧭

As Certified Organic producers, there’s a lot we can’t (and don’t want to 🙅) use in the vineyard and cereal crops, but we also don’t need to be totally reliant only on Mother Nature and a prayer.

Kymbo has sown beans in with the wheat crops this year to fix nitrogen into the soil as the wheat grows. After harvest, we will put all the grain through a seed cleaner which will also separate the large beans from the smaller wheat grain.

The wheat will go to the mill to be turned into flour for you, and the beans will be used to sow next year’s cover crops in the vineyard.
Win/win right?

We can and do also use things like WORM 🪱 products, and there’s no better source of them than Microtek Organics.
Thanks so much Alex for coming out today and taking a couple of samples (the dogs are also very grateful for their pats).
Looking forward to picking up our next lot of worm goodness from you 🙌🏻.

This beautiful lean-to added to the original shed build by Kym’s Great Grandpa has been an abandoned workshop for decades. This week we went from constant cleaning and fixing to starting to make it shine.
Celebrating this beautiful blank canvas before the next chapter begins as we start to move items in.

I can’t stop staring at the floor and the character we couldn’t buy if we tried, the stone wall absolutely has my heart, and Kym’s “new” partition wall he built me just looks like it belongs there…
What’s your favourite part?

The Mill Shed door has been fixed and clad with “new” old iron with no holes and rehung.

Yay for a tick on the to do list… but now we’ve discovered Kymbo needs to adjust the wall to allow the bottom edge to pass in front of the iron so the door can close fully 😜.

So close yet so far.

Would you call the door job done and add a new one to fix the wall situation, or no ✔️ for the list?!
