After a very busy month… which isn’t over yet! 😅 The rewards are already starting to show we have flowers coming!

A bit of a late one tonight, but I had to go out and snap some photos of this beautiful yellow flower! 💛🌵

There are buds everywhere, just getting ready to pop, with plenty more flowers on the way!

The season is only just beginning, the new growth is booming, and I’m excited to finally start enjoying the rewards of all the hard work and see what’s to come. 🌱🌵

And with the BIG MOVE almost finally over, I can’t wait to start getting everything set up and actually enjoy having some SPACE! 😂

It’s been a massive few months, but things are finally starting to come together.

🚛🌵 TRAILER LOAD UPDATE… #101!

It’s been a while since our last trailer load update! At Trailer Load #66 we had moved 5,885 pots…

We’re now up to TRAILER LOAD #101 and a massive 13,727 POTS MOVED! 🤯🌵

That’s 7,842 more pots since our last update… and I’m absolutely exhausted. 😂

But the end is finally in sight! We’ll officially be moved out by the end of September, so this weekend we’re having our:

🌵 GRAND FINALE MOVING SALE! 🌵

We’ll have a limited number of mixed trays of stock valued at $40–$50+ for just $20–$30! Once they’re gone, they’re gone, so FIRST IN, BEST DRESSED!

🌮 Our favourite taco van Señor Mexican will also be back for the weekend… and maybe we’ve got something else planned too. 👀

☕ And for all our coffee lovers, Coffee Bebop will still be here serving coffee this coming week AND next week, so there’s still time to grab a coffee and enjoy Tough Love at our current location before we say goodbye!

It’s Pedal Prix weekend, so Murray Bridge is going to be BUSY! Parking may be a little harder than usual, but hopefully the parks directly out the front of the shop remain available. We apologise for any inconvenience.

After months of packing, loading, unloading and moving thousands upon thousands of plants, I seriously can’t wait to get this move over and done with! 😂💪

🌵 ANOTHER ONE OF SOUTH AUSTRALIA’S GIANTS!

Here’s Zoie standing next to another incredible Trichocereus terscheckii better known as RG1 Greenhouse terscheckii, grown by one of South Australia’s best and very well-known growers, Hellen!

This giant is somewhere around the 40+ year old mark. 🤯🌵

Hopefully in another 25 years, I’ll have something like this to stand next to and make either me or Zoie look small! 😂

One thing I love about cactus is that most people don’t realise what they’re actually looking at, or what the future potential of a certain plant could be. That little cactus sitting in a pot today could become an absolute landmark decades from now.

That’s what makes growing them so exciting. You’re planting something for the future. 🌵❤️

It’s hard to explain how strange it feels pulling apart and packing up four years of work. Who knew I had so many cactus and other plants! 😬 I’ve always said you can never have too many plants! But after moving almost 7,000+ pots…

Everywhere I look, I remember putting these displays together, moving plants into place and slowly watching Tough Love grow into what it is today. Potting the majority of the plants up myself, or with some bloody good helpers! Trust me, there’s been a lot of blood, sweat and spines! It has slowly built what Tough Love Garden Supply is and is becoming.

Now we’re undoing it all, one trailer load at a time. It’s a weird mix of emotions. Sad to see this place slowly disappear, but incredibly exciting knowing what we’re making way for. I’m incredibly excited to show you what a bit of passion can do to someone who just can’t get enough of weird, spiky and wonderful plants, as we expand our range to an even wider and more diverse range of plants. 🌵

Three years of work being packed up… ready for the next chapter.

There’s still plenty here for people to pick from, and still warm, unique coffee from Coffee Bebop!

I can’t wait to show you what we create next. 👀🌵

🚛🌵 ANOTHER TOUGH LOVE PLANT CONVOY!

After Saturday’s wild weather put this load on hold, Sunday we were back into it! 💪

This time we loaded:

🚛 5 pallets on Lachie’s truck
🚛 12 pallets on his big trailer
🚛 10 pallets on the triple-axle trailer behind me

That’s another 27 pallets, bringing the weekend total to a massive 54 pallets moved in just two loads! 🤯🌵

One of the best things about Murray Bridge and running a small business is the people you meet along the way. Having like-minded, positive people who are simply happy to chip in and help makes you want to achieve even more. ❤️

A massive thank you to Lachie and his family. They originally came in just to grab some plants and ended up helping us move a huge percentage of the shop, as well as lending us their big trailers!

Without them, these two loads would have been 25+ trips with my little tandem trailer and probably over two weeks of work. Instead, we smashed it out in one weekend! 😂💪

That’s what community is all about. Thanks legends! ❤️🌵

🚛🌵 THE TOUGH LOVE PLANT CONVOY!

Saturday 5th September was a BIG one! We managed to move a massive 26 pallets of plants in ONE DAY! 💪🌵

We had a bit of a Tough Love plant convoy happening:

🚛 5 pallets on Lachie’s truck
🚛 12 pallets on the double-axle trailer
🚛 And I was back hauling the triple-axle trailer with another 9 pallets!

26 pallets in one hit! 🤯

A massive thank you to Lachie and Fred for giving us a hand and lending us their big trailers! We seriously appreciate the help, it made a massive difference getting this many plants moved in one go! ❤️🙌

We were planning on heading back for another load, but the wild weather had other ideas. The wind was absolutely blowing a gale, causing havoc and blowing stuff over everywhere! 💨😂

So load number two had to wait until Sunday…

One massive step closer to the new Tough Love! 🌵💪
