As always Harry Saggerson enjoying being out on the rocks and beach, enjoying every catch from juvinials to the ones that count. Still waiting to tick off some new PBs on some species, but having a hella lot of fun on the way and gaining plenty knowledge on the water ticking his target lists.

Oceans 50 Angling Club headed to Arniston for our end of year Social trip at the end of October. We had a great time to say the least. A time for anglers, family and social members to get together and have a great weekend away.
For some, their first time in Arniston and for some re-visiting their previous fishing spots.
Great to see the braais going, the anglers exploring and getting lines in, the Juniors getting out there and learning.
The members, angler or not having a great time with Oceans 50 family! A great family trip all round!

A bit of reef scratching on Friday, with Drummond Murison landing a Dassie(black Tail), and a strong fighting one at that for its Size, great to see and safely released as always!

Saturday morning a couple anglers shot through to Struisbaai before heading back to continue targeting Arnistion.
Lines went in and the Rays were ready. Harry Saggerson went on with a solid pull, loosing it at the back, and the excitement began. Shortly after Harry went on again with a Big Eagle ray, having a lekker fight, getting it to the shore, it got off the hook at his feet an off he went back into the shallows, so an unfortunate non recorded catch, thats fishing but a lekker experience!
Next Leslie Flarry went on with a Sand shark, followed by Harry landing another Sand Shark. Bites dropped and we headed back to Arniston to join the crew. Some Streppie for Donny and Harry, and an Elf for Willie. All fish safely released as always!
More reef scratching with wind starting to blow, calling it a day and heading back to the accommodation for lekker sunset Braais.
A great weekend, an Oceans 50 Angling Club family weekend.

A few of our Anglers headed to Stillbaai for a couple days at the end of September, and as always what a pleasure to fish this area!! A fantastic location for Rock and Surf anglers with so many options to target.

A decent amount of fish coming out over the long weekend, with 10 different species, and a great sight of a healthy coastal area with the whales and dolphins giving us some great views! Plenty of juveniles around snatching the baits quickly, so lots of spot moves!
All fish safely released! Look forward to getting back and getting some bigger weights on the board!
A great weekend with the Oceans 50 Angling Club anglers!!
