Long brew day on Friday, but mission accomplished with Andre and me brewing two massive beers: a barley wine and an imperial stout. They had an original gravity of 1.124 and 1.154 respectively, so we're hoping for 12% and 15% alcohol. Perfect on a day like today! Watch this space for updates!

My second batch ever that has an issue. The first was when I first started brewing and had an infection from orange peels, this one is either from grain that stood open for too long, or a bad batch of hops. Ah well, lesson is only use fresh ingredients from a known source.

Just had the pleasure of drinking this, and thinking my Duvel clone smells, looks and tastes a lot like it. So not sure if that's mission accomplished but it's a great beer that hides it's 8% well. Mine is 10%, so hopefully it's also a ninja.

Duvel clone bottled in champagne bottles. 3 different enclosures: some on reductive crown cap, some on normal crown cap and some on real champagne corks. Should end on around 10%. Can't wait for this one!

Very excited to be brewing this Duvel clone, which we'll age and bottle like an MCC (with a professional of course!), and do some other experiments on.

Got a couple of very special brews coming up in the next month. Can't wait!

Experimental beer bottled! A hybrid between an amber ale and a wee heavy. 7.5%, with whisky salted caramel added. So basically, a whisky salted caramel imperial amber ale/wee heavy.

It probably needs some tweaking, and definitely some conditioning. But I think it's drinkable.
