Coconut Prawn Linguine is back on the menu today for Wok Your Baby. We are open from 11am to 10pm tonight. If you haven’t tried Sonia’s Sticky Wing salad or the Pad Thai (chicken or prawn) why not make today the day! As usual grill and pizza is on and all our killer desserts are on the menu. Join us in the Bokkie Bar or the Boma tonight for Come As You Are Pizza and Beer “3 for 2” Happy Hour special from 5-7pm. We have two new wild residents in the bar to keep you company courtesy of a kind donation from our Ward Councillor Riaan, along with Zelda the Zebra. Don’t forget Saturday’s match fourth and final test of the Rugby’s Greatest Rivalry series between the Springboks and the All Blacks on the big screen at 11pm ~ Book to avoid disappointment as last week we were full. It will be dark enough for us to use the actual big screen on Saturday and we believe the rain will be a now show fortunately/unfortunately. Please note correction to the event calendar attached). Things are hotting up in Piketberg this week and although some rain is forecast we will be operating the Flying Fig as usual, with the Bokke vs NZ in the Boma at 11pm on Sat. We introduce two new dishes: Baa Bahn Mi - roast lamb, Vietnamese slaw and creamy roasted sesame sauce in a crispy bun, and the Thai red curry classic Angry Duck. Come as you are Pizza and Beer Happy Hour on Thursday. Slow Boat Sunday is getting popular so book please - if it rains (and we certainly hope it does!) we will run the service on the veranda. Another warm and sunny Sunday in Piketberg and the perfect day to celebrate the Boks’ win last night with a leisurely lunch at Fig! Last week was nail biting and tonight seems to be on par but with much better weather! While the rest of the country is in the grip of a brutal cold front and cut off low, here in Piketberg, the “Palm Springs” of Cape Town we are enjoying beautiful weather for the weekend. Clear skies and 20 degrees Celsius tonight for Wok Your Baby. As usual we are focussing on wok all day today with breakfast served till 11am. Coffee and croissants all day. Peri-Peri Chicken Burgers are back on the menu and the pizza oven will be firing from midday. Bring a jacket as it’s still a bit windy but otherwise another beautiful weekend ahead in Piketberg. This week at Voyager & The Flying Fig looks to be another fun one with Rugby on Saturday, our “Come as You Are” Pizza and Beer special on Thursday, Wok Your Baby on Friday and of course for those of you who want a leisurely Sunday lunch, Slow Boat Sunday. Our Duck L’Orange was a hit last Sunday should we do it again? We are getting much busier these days as we slide into summer so please book to avoid disappointment. This weeks Cafe menu is attached.
