The core focus is always the various Higland Games showcasing brute strength & stamina: tossing the caber, tug-o-war, walk the weight, the kilted mile, hammer throw, weight over the bar & stone put!

The competitive athleticism will be completed by the grace & precision of Celtic dancing, piped bands & of course, the rousing bag pipes. Guests are invited to get into the spirit of the occasion by wearing tartan, eating shortbread & sampling whisky!

This year's event will feature a range of stalls of loyally-sourced market wares & Midlands based merchandise, food & beverage stalls, field demos, dog events & childrens activities- including face painting & jumping castles. In attendance will be among others, the Pietermaritzburg & Durban Caledonians, the First Medical & Pietermaritzburg Caledonian Pipe bands!
