It is with a heavy heart that we share some unexpected and unfortunate news. After seven incredible years, our landlords have decided not to renew the lease for the WhiskyBrother Bar.

Join us for a final few drams before our last day of trading on Sunday, 30th March, and take advantage of our farewell whisky specials.

While this is undoubtedly a painful setback, we remain fully committed to reopening the bar in a new location. Thank you for your unwavering support over the years. This was not our decision, but we are determined to turn this into an opportunity for something new. 🥃

Whisky of the Month:

Mansas African Whisky, 43%
South African Grain Whisky

A newcomer to the SA whisky scene, released late last year, Mansa African Whisky is crafted at the Midlands Distillery in Kwazulu-Natal by Spearhead Spirits, who produce a range of proudly South African spirits.

Using South African maize along with sorghum, rye and barley, the whisky is matured in a selection of locally sourced, reconditioned ex-red wine barrels, that are heavily charred, in temperature controlled warehouse for between 3 to 5 years.

Expect sweet, malty aromas of caramel, vanilla, and dried apricot on the nose, with subtle hints of cinnamon and nutmeg. The palate is creamy with toffee, butterscotch, and charred wood, layered with dried fruit, honey, and a touch of chocolate.

Enjoy this welcomed local addition at a 10% discount throughout January 2025

Crafted by master blender Michael Henry, this Highland single malt is a harmonious blend of tradition and innovation.
Distilled using straight neck stills at three collection strengths—two of which are peated—it carries a subtle touch of smoke, adding depth to its character.
Matured in three types of American oak casks and non-chillfiltered, this whisky is as refined as it is flavourful.

A nose of toasted oak, coconut and green apple evolves into a palate of vanilla fudge, peach and lime, finishing long and dry with soft peat smoke and lingering oak spice.

Single Malt Irish Whiskey

Introducing our 95th whisky release and a historic first for us—a rare and exclusive Irish single malt!

This official single cask release from McConnell’s Irish Whisky was selected by our team and bottled exclusively for us. Distilled in November 2003, matured for 18 years in a first-fill ex-bourbon cask before being finished for over two years in a first-fill Tawny port cask. Bottled in May 2024, only 228 bottles exist.

Hailing from Northern Ireland’s oldest distillery (we can’t name names, but the legacy speaks volumes), this 20-year-old single malt represents the depth and tradition of Irish whiskey-making. While McConnell’s distillery itself began production just this year, this release perfectly bridges the past and future of Irish whisky.

Glen Ord 14 Year Old 2024 Release, 54.7%
Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Part of Diageo’s annual Special Releases, “Autumnal Walk” is from the Glen Ord distillery in the Highlands, matured for 14 years in first-fill ex-bourbon casks, then part-finished in casks with Pyrenean (from the Pyrenees mountains) and Spanish oak ends.

On the nose, experience orange cream and vanilla, complemented by subtle almond and fresh green notes. The palate brings creamy Seville orange peel and a peppery spice, finishing with long, warming depth and a refreshing aftertaste.
