Meet David Wigley, the craftsman, founder and owner of Ironwood Joinery! 🪵✨
​David’s journey with woodwork started when he was a youngster, first introduced to the craft by his grandfather. That early spark turned into a lifelong passion.
​Over the years, his dedication to the trade took him on an incredible journey:
​Fish Hoek: Sharpening his skills at a local joinery.
​Canada: Training to become a specialist log cabin builder.
​New Zealand: Working on timber framing and decking projects to get experience.
Southern Drakensburg: Dreaming big and building a sawmill from the ground up.
​Home Garage: Taking the ultimate leap of faith in 2016 to officially launch Ironwood Joinery from home.
​Today, Ironwood Joinery is a testament to what happens when decades of international experience, heritage and hard work come together. Whether it’s custom timber work or fine joinery, David brings a lifetime of craftsmanship to every single piece.
