Route 62 Coffee Shoppe, Restaurant & Cafe Route 62 Coffee Shoppe, Restaurant & Cafe In December 1999, the late Andre Barnard, a local bussinessman, aquired the old Toorkop Cafe/Roadhouse.

This Cafe/Roadhouse dating back to the 1950's was located on the same premises in the space currently utilised as Bar and Kitchen. At that stage, the current Restaurant and Cafe, was part of the Reinders Garage Ford dealership. As Reinders down scaled their dealership, Andre used the opportunity to create this family business, the Route 62 coffee Shoppe, Restaurant and Cafe. From their humble begi

nnings as a Roadside Cafe, Route 62 has grown to a full scale modern Coffee Shoppe, Restaurant and Cafe,focussed on serving the Route 62 related tourist trade and local population.
