Central Gauteng had a bittersweet event at the PSA Open Nationals this past week. By the team and individual results, we can see that players struggled to adapt to the tough conditions in the 8Ball arena and even some of the best out there in the regions came short. But not all doom and gloom as we stood out in the doubles event and at least made a dent in the singles. Steven De Souza and Edwin Ditlhokwe kept their composure in every match on their way to the Doubles Championship title, sealing it against Helderberg's Damian and Shabier in the final. Tshepo Moleya wasn't far off, reaching the Singles semi-final before eventual champion Taufeeq Murray ended his run. Sello Dick and Craig Moodley also made their mark, both fighting through to the round of 32 in the Singles.
