Lets get REKT

REKT came about completely by chance. While working as brand manager for Monin South Africa in Johannesburg, I thought a great way to promote the worlds leading brand of cocktail syrups would be to set up a mobile cocktail bar at weekend events and make epic cocktails for people. An opportunity arose to do a bar at a small event in Fox street in JHB CBD and so I took it.

The event turned out to be a complete flop and my first attempt at the mobile bar business was a disaster. After that first event there were more duds as i realized providing mobile bar services wasn’t so simple.

I decided to partner with a gin brand and get into the growing craft gin trend and slowly but surely began to do some good, better and then great events until I was planning, arranging and working events full time, and REKT was born.

REKT now focuses on premium music festivals and concerts, providing a first class cocktail and full bar experience. Whether it’s a cash bar at a public event or an open bar at a private function, we strive to offer an unforgettable experience and the absolute best drinks you’ve ever had.
