The Box The Box was a stand up comedy event that happened every Sunday at POPArt since 2012. We’ve kept the tradition alive by hosting comedy on Sundays at 8pm

The Box is a stand up comedy gig that happens every Sunday at Pop Art(Main Street Life). All shows start at 7:30pm. Tickets cost R50. Lineups will differ every weekend. Come through. Derrick Watts is boring anyway.

One More Night til we over to POPArt!

The show title, ‘Thuma Nina’’ is a play on the phrase ‘Thuma MINA” which was used by President Cyril Ramaphosa in his 2017 presidential campaign. ‘Thuma Mina” translated from isiZulu into English means – “SEND ME”.
The irony is that “Thuma NINA” means “SEND YOU GUYS” – and just like this title, so much of what Nina has done in her life, got lost in translation.
