This year Zwakala Brewery celebrates ten years of awards, collaborations, music, gatherings and wonderfully spontaneous mountain moments.

The name means “come closer”, and perhaps that says everything. Come closer to the fire, the music, the people, the food, the conversation... and, of course, another cold Zwakala beer.

In the new Spring edition of Mountain Getaways, we look back on ten years of a brewery that has become woven into the fabric of Magoebaskloof.

This… and nowhere else to be. 🌿🛁🍷

A long bath. A glass of wine. The river in the background, birds in the trees, and absolutely nowhere you need to be.

Spring is starting to show herself on the farm and it feels like the perfect time to escape to the mountains — slow mornings, river swims, forest walks, fires in the evenings and baths with a view. 🌱✨

We have a few cabins & cottages available this weekend (4th-7th September) and then we’re fully booked for the following weekend and then the next 7 weekends! So if you’ve been thinking about a little Zwakala getaway… this is your chance.

🌿 Spring starts at Zwakala! 🌿

Celebrate the changing season in the mountains with a relaxed family day at Zwakala Brewery on Sunday, 30 August

Take on a 3km or 5km family fun walk, then settle in for live music from the THITO Jazz Ensemble, good food and an ice-cold Zwakala beer. There will be supervised activities for the little ones too.

To make the finish line even sweeter, ladies receive a complimentary Caipirinha and kids a refreshing Lemongrass & Wild Mint Cordial after their walk.
