On Saturday April 4th, Super Power returns!

Join us as we celebrate our 8th anniversary with the annual release of Super Power Triple IPA.

Each year, this is the hoppiest beer we brew. Built with a heap of hops at every stage of the brewing process and triple dry-hopped, this year’s edition features a fresh South African twist, with a wet hop African Queen addition in the hopback, and Southern Passion integrated in the dry hop blend for a passionfruit boost and American/South African twist.
Expect explosive aromatics, saturated hop intensity, and a beer that doesn’t hold back.
We’ll be pouring the main release alongside two small-batch Super Power variants on tap, plus smoked meats to match the beer.

This is one of our favourite releases of the year, hope to see you there!

We’re stoked to see Opus Aeternum featured in the most recent edition of Craft Beer & Brewing Magazine !

This beer is an original collab creation with that explores the outer limits of kettle caramelization and extended-boil malt character. It was rewarding beer to brew, to see where the process could take us.

Thanks to for the great write-up and for telling our South African beer stories.

Thanks to everyone who joined us on for our guided tasting, Brewing with Soul: The Art of Barrel-Aged Beer at on thursday!

It was lekker sharing some of our most distinct beers from the cellar, and talk through ideas behind barrel aging, mixed culture fermentation, and historical styles with such a great crowd.

We loved the beer energy you guys brought, and the amazing hospitality and staff at Capital Craft. Looking forward to the next tasting together.

Next week is !🍻
To celebrate, we’ve brewed a very special collab with 400 Brewing Co — the house beer of , one of Cape Town’s best spots to grab a beer.

Their house beer is Frost Hammer Lager, so we gave it a Soul Barrel twist: same grain bill, reimagined as a dry-hopped American Cream Ale. Crisp, hoppy and refreshing.

Pouring on tap at both locations next Saturday.

Come raise a glass to celebrate South African beer!

Imperial Old London Porter - A taste of history!

Imperial Old London Porter is a recreation of the legendary porters brewed in 1800s London. The historical recipe was brewed with a special blend of kilned, dark caramel, roasted and slightly smoked malts, representing historical malting methods. It was aged in an oak barrel with the wild yeast brettanomyces or "British yeast". This long secondary fermentation ripens and matures the flavour, adding a leather dryness and overripe cherry fruitiness that balances the milk chocolate & cocoa malt flavours. A roastiness with a touch of hidden smoke pulls it all together for a fine drinking experience.

London was once the brewing capital of the world and Porter was king, drunk by the porters who worked London's streets. In the 1800's this dark, roasty ale was the most popular beer in the world and the first global style of beer.

We've officially bottled sunshine!

Light and zesty, Summer Ale is the perfect beer for long summer days in the sun. Summer ale is a seasonal Golden ale brewed with wheat, oats and pilsner malt, zested up with lemon peel and a rare African brewing spice called grains of paradise.

Summer ales are a form of British golden ales that started appearing in the 80's to compete with lager: light, wheat ales brewed to drink like a lager but taste like an ale.
