Atlas Swift offers a horizontal tasting of 4 premium South African Chardonnays from different terroirs within South Africa, each from one of the recognised wine regions within the Western and Southern Cape. The range includes 2 cold climate Chardonnay as well as 2 warmer climate Chardonnays. Pair your tasting with delicious local olives, cheese or a plate of charcuterie.

May is Chardonnay — but in her autumn mood.

Our Franschhoek Chardonnay from the regional range steps forward, layered with expressive aromatics.

Alongside her, a chutney shaped by the Cape — gently Cape Malay in spirit, lighter than a traditional preserve. Not cooked down too far, just enough to hold form while letting the mango stay bright, alive.
A soft warmth of spice begins to hum as the air turns cooler, drawing us closer to winter. The result is something rounded, effortless — a chutney made to sit beside the wine, not compete with it.

Continuing our recipe journey at Atlas Swift — where flavour is built, layer by layer.

The broccoli is first blanched for freshness, then charred to bring smoky depth and a gentle nuttiness. Spring onions soften into sweetness, while smoked salt and lemon create balance and lift. Roasted olives, almonds, and croutons add texture and savoury complexity.
Alongside this, our Wine of Origin Cederberg Chardonnay.
Grown at altitude, it brings clarity and freshness, its bright acidity cutting through the richness while subtle oak echoes the caramelised notes on the plate.
A pairing where freshness meets depth — and both wine and food are allowed to speak.
