🐉 A LEGENDARY VISITOR!
It’s not every day that one of Africa’s most celebrated explorers walks through your doors.
Earlier this month, we had the absolute pleasure of welcoming Kingsley Holgate and his expedition team to the Green Lantern Inn in Van Reenen, as part of their Following the Dragon Defender Expedition, travelling from Hoedspruit to Rhodes across the Drakensberg.
For those who don’t know him, Kingsley Holgate is a renowned South African explorer, humanitarian and adventurer, famous for his iconic white beard, classic hat and extraordinary journeys across the African continent.
Often described as a modern-day David Livingstone, Kingsley has spent decades exploring some of Africa’s most remote regions, combining adventure with meaningful humanitarian and conservation work through the Kingsley Holgate Foundation.
His expeditions are about far more than reaching a destination. They bring practical support to communities, raise awareness for conservation and celebrate the incredible people and places encountered along the way.
What a privilege to have this remarkable adventurer and his team spend some time with us, sharing stories and enjoying a little Green Lantern hospitality!
