Some stories are measured in kilometres👟. Others are measured in resilience🎖️.

With three Comrades Marathon silver medals 🥈🥈🥈and multiple sub-3-hour marathons 🛣️to his name, Sipho Marima continues to inspire runners across South Africa🇿🇦, not only through his performances but through the community he has built around the sport.

It was an absolute pleasure hosting Sipho and so many incredible Comrades runners at Dropkick Murphy’s after this year’s race. Watching everyone carefully make their way down the stairs had us smiling, but behind those tired legs were stories of determination, sacrifice and achievement that deserve to be celebrated.

Listening to everyone’s experiences from the road reminded us why the Comrades Marathon is so much more than a race. It’s a journey that brings people together through resilience, grit and an unwavering spirit.

A huge thank you to all the runners who joined us, and a special thank you to Sipho Marima for sharing your journey with us. We loved hearing your stories and look forward to welcoming you all back to Dropkick Murphys again soon.
