Coco is the mastermind of nightlife stalwarts Shaun Duvet (St Yves, Bang Bang Club, Electric Music, Anything Goes) and Stephane Cohen (Moloko, Hush, Kong), with Federico Scarpecci (Jackal & Hide, Opium and The Bang Bang Club) and Sameer Wadhwa (Moloko, Hush, Kong), each of whom has years of experience setting up some of South Africa's most well-loved and best known venues. This dream team has come
together to create a bar/lounge/club the likes of which Cape Town has never seen before. With their combined experience in the nightlife and bar culture around SA, they jumped at the opportunity to open a venue together when it arose. The location is a well-known one, but that will be all that is known about COCO when it is opened. Situated at 70 Loop Street, the focus at COCO will be high-end bottle service, excellent customer attention, beautiful clientele and incredible music all set in a sexy and glam environment that has been designed and kitted out by Cape Town's hottest interior designer, Gregor Brenner of Soda designs (Bungalow, Kong, Hush, Moloko, St Yves, Taboo, Paranga and many more). Musically the venue will cater for everyone from deep house lovers, to commercial fans and hip-hop heads with a DJ line-up planned by Shaun Duvet, himself no stranger to the decks.
