There is nothing quite like summer in the Netherlands. When the sun finally shows up, this beautiful waterland completely transforms. From getting into a sloop with friends and cruising the canals of Utrecht, to kiting till 22.30 & catching the ultimate sunset with your feet still in the water. 🇳🇱✨
Whether I was cycling around, being at home, doing (water)sports or enjoying quality time with special people; this Dutch summer hit me different. ❤️
Maybe cause it was the first time in many years I was just in 1 place 🇳🇱🥰

Everyone told me kiting would give me that effortless surfer look, not! Needed HIIT Fitness on the side for that 🏋🏼‍♀️😉
Maybe it’s time for a sport that forces me to deadlift a wet sail forty times a day just to get a workout.

A huge milestone for our future Kite Beach Ocean Safety & Windsports Club! 🎉

What started as an idea is now officially becoming the home of something special. Thank you to everyone who showed up, rolled up their sleeves and helped us knock down the first walls. We couldn’t have asked for a better team to kick off this journey. Also a special thanks to the councillor for popping in and supplying us with refreshments. 🥤🍊

This is just the beginning and we can’t wait to share the next phase with you. Exciting times are ahead! 🌊 💨

FINALLY! 🎉

After 2½ years of discussions, networking and bringing the right people together the idea of turning the old Kite Beach Tourism Office into a home for ocean safety and wind watersports is becoming a reality. 🌊🪁

A huge thank you to everyone who helped move this project forward over the years. I’m excited to see what it can mean for the future of our kite and wider wind sports community.

This Saturday we start Phase 1 with a community clean-up and refurbishment day. Please take a moment to read the poster below and if you can: come lend a hand and be part of building something special for our kite community. 🤗

Looking for a new destination when visiting 🇿🇦 again? Why not skip the usual and head north? 😉
We were very pleasantly surprised by what the Northern Cape offers. From national parks to vineyards/ wineries to dramatic landscapes and unforgettable sunsets.🌅 Watching the roaring waterfalls at Augrabies Falls National Park, where the Orange River crashes 56 metres down into a deep granite gorge, was an absolute highlight of the trip. 🤩

A magical evening spent at Meuse Farm for their beautiful winter harvest table in the most incredible farm atmosphere under the winter sky. 🌾✨

Such a special experience of slow food, good company and heartfelt hospitality in Hout Bay.

Did you know that our staff member Ellen is the lead singer at her church on Sundays? 🎤 ⛪️
We went and joined a service filled with singing and dancing. 🎶
So special; our hearts were full 💕 Followed with more local music (and wine 😉) after at a winery in the area.
Let us know if interested in joining us this Sunday when we have another Sunday Funday with a giving back purpose too. We’ll be handing out stationary to the kids at church. Send us PM to sign up.
